BASIC MEDIATION TRAINING - DAY #3
Presented with Good Shepherd Mediation Program
This 3-day CLE workshop will prepare attorneys to become a mediator using the facilitative style of mediation. Participants will learn facilitation skills and techniques to enhance communication, conflict resolution, information gathering, perspective-taking, problem-solving, interest-based negotiating, and agreement writing.
Topics covered throughout this comprehensive training include: confidentiality, mediator neutrality, active listening, the mediation process, and legal and ethical considerations involved in mediating disputes. Speakers will utilize lecture, video, individual, small, and large group exercises, as well as coached role-playing.
Day 3 – Basic Mediation Training: Role-Playing a Mediation Session
• Integrated Role plays based upon training from day one and two
• Two hours of ethics highlighting the legal and ethical considerations involved in mediating disputes
Good Shepard Mediation will provide a Certificate stating Completion of this comprehensive training to ONLY those who attend all three days of training. Attendees may earn up to 19.5 credits if they have attended the full 3-day workshop.
