Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19): Key Employment Law Issues
On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak as a pandemic. Covid-19 has changed the way businesses function. Employers are balancing exposing their workforce to contagion against maintaining operations.
In this informative program, our speakers will share their expertise on workplace safety issues, issues for workforces that travel, remote work, immigration issues, healthcare/HIPPA issues, wage and hour issues, employee leave/ADA issues, and discrimination/harassment/EEO issues, among others, in the context of Covid-19. They will also address the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, the federal legislation signed on March 18, 2020, that includes an emergency expansion of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and a new federal paid sick leave law, among other things.
