CLE - How to Handle UEGF Claims, With Changes After Act 132

Pennsylvania workers who get hurt on the job find out that their employers do not carry workers' compensation insurance. In 2006, PA lawmakers created the Uninsured Employers Guaranty Fund ("UEGF"), the safety net available for workers who have been injured while working for an employer who (in violation of Pennsylvania law) fail to carry PA workers' compensation insurance. Though this provides injured workers an avenue to pursue to get wage loss and medical benefits, the fund remains challenging for injured workers to use. Attend this program to hear how recent amendments like SB 676 and case law may help you better advocate for your clients using UEGF.
